Hazardous Waste:

• Label "Hazardous Waste."
• Label properly.
• Date storage initiation.
• Use secondary containment.
• Know procedure for requesting disposal through UIUC.
• Call for pickup frequently.
• File written documentation.

Retaining lips on chemical shelves.
Store incompatible chemicals separately.

Post refrigerators and microwaves:	Food/drink only - - No chemicals
or:	Not for food/drink - - Chemicals only

Eating, drinking in posted, designated areas only.
Update chemical inventory.
Current inspection and certification of laminar flow hoods.
Inspect Safety Showers and Emergency Eyewash Protection, post date of inspection.
Label chemicals in secondary containers with:

	Full name; i.e. Hydrochloric Acid
	Date made up
	Name or initial of owner

Evidence of availability and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Employees demonstrate knowledge and use of PPE.

Evidence of availability and use of "sharps" disposal containers.
Annual safety training documentation for each employee.
Safety Orientation Check List:

	Reviewed, signed, and dated by each Employee
	Copies on file.
